Hello there!

Many of you may remember The Twilight Throne I, which was my proudest creation. I spent countless hours working on the map, and I find it to be a great accomplishment.

With that out of the way...

The Twilight Throne II: The Soul Amulet

Table Of Contents: (Use Find to navigate to sections quickly)
0. (INTX) Introduction
1. (BOSX) Boss Preview
2. (ITEX) Item Preview
3. (SKIX) Skill Preview
4. (RUNX) Rune Mage Preview
5. (OTHX) Other

(INTX) Introduction
Two years have passed since Azrulith’s fall at the Twilight Throne. The heroes that were sent through Zethul’s dimensional portal now face a challenge far greater than any they had ever imagined…
The Chaos Army.
Hordes upon hordes of Chaos Knights, paired with higher entities, and the most fearsome leaders ever seen…

The Twilight Throne II will be exactly like its predecessor, an Epic RPG. Players will find themselves on a wild goose-chase in an attempt to find the pieces of the Soul Amulet, in the vague hopes of reassembling it. Which wouldn't be too hard, except for the fact that they're guarded by incredibly tough enemies, and that they're scattered in distant and remote places.

The scale of the map will be about the same, meaning that bosses will still have millions of health, and heroes will still have around ~15,000 health and do around ~3000 damage.

Remember that all of this is subject to change. Nothing is finalized yet.

(BOSX) Boss Preview

Contents:
1. The Crystal Spirit
2. The Dimensional Master
3. The All-Seeing Eyes Of The Reborn

The Crystal Spirit
Occasionally, one of the Chaos Knights does something exceptional or unordinary. After all, it is hard to simply do the same thing for your whole life, even if it is massive destruction. And so it was with one particular Chaos Knight. As Chaos Knights go, this one was about average; he never got higher then the rank of Guardian. However, he had a unique habit of collecting his enemies’ spirits once they died, and storing them all within an orb. By the time he died, the orb had over 1,000 spirits within it, all having immense potential energy from being stored up for so long. When this Chaos Knight died, instead of going to the Land Of The Dead, he broke his orb…and assimilated the spirits into his own.

The Crystal Spirit. A pure, glowing entity that radiated immense power, so much power that it could wither anything that came close to it. The Chaos Knight was no longer a Chaos Knight. The spirits were his armor, his sword, his shield, his strength. And yet, to add worse onto bad, the immense energy gave him terrifically powerful abilities. Rumors spread of huge energy beams that incapacitated anything they touched; an invulnerable energy shield; Spirit Knights that appeared from nowhere…

The Crystal Spirit’s intentions are unknown. It has something to do with the Soul Amulet—but no one knows where it is, or why it’s so important…

Estimated HP: 600
Estimated Energy Shield: 4,800,000
Estimated Damage (Regular Attack): 300~700
Estimated Armor: None
Known Spells:
1) Energy Beam: Creates a massive beam of pure energy that will utterly incinerate everything it touches. Deals ~300 damage per second to enemies inside it.
2) Summon Spirit Knight: Summons 3(or more) Spirit Knights to attack enemies.
3) Restore Shields: Heals 150,000 shields over 10 seconds.

The Dimensional Master
The Dimensional Master is—unique, to say the least. Although he only has the rank of Destroyer, he is a valuable asset to the Chaos Army. It was the Dimensional Master who first created rifts for the Chaos Army to travel between dimensions. Rumor has it that he can manipulate up to seven different dimensions.

Very few have come within sight range of the Master and lived to escape. And even so, they were not the same people…something had changed about them. But nonetheless, the few that did come back gave recounts of what they had seen…

The Dimensional Master has little strength of its own, but instead uses its deep knowledge of time and space to defeat enemies. Tales of massive dimensional rifts where people were sucked in, never to come out…stories of matter distortions that literally ripped someone apart into atoms…rumors of rips in the fabric of space that caused unimaginable devastation…all these have only added to the Dimensional Master’s reputation.

Estimated HP: 3,400,000
Estimated Damage (Regular Attack): 100~120
Estimated Armor: 600
Known Spells:
1) Dimensional Rift: The Dimensional Master's primary attack. Creates a vortex between two dimensions. Damage dealt depends on which dimension the vortex leads to, but it is generally between 600~1500 damage per second. May also shoot lightning bolts for ~3000 damage.
2) Distort Matter: Creates a matter distortion. Causes randomization of range, damage, health, movement speed, attack speed, armor, and mana. Lasts ~20 seconds.
3) Transform Space: Transforms the space around the target into pure energy, dealing an immense amount of damage. Estimated to deal ~4,600 damage.

The All-Seeing Eyes Of The Reborn
I actually haven't plotted out this boss yet. Be patient!

(RUNX) Rune Mage Preview

Background:
After the events of The Twilight Throne I, when the war was over and the land restored to peace, many people found they had more spare time. Usually this time would be occupied preparing in the event of a dark invasion. But instead, the people spent this spare time doing what they wanted. And while most found small hobbies or interests to occupy themselves with, a small group of people wished to learn the art of using Magic.

At the time, there was only one type of magic: Healing magic, which was to heal and give aid to allies in the battlefield. Although useful, it lacked in offensive capabilities, and so was usually not in any real combat.

The Rune Magics were a branch of magic talents feeding off the Healing strand. Although the Rune Mage's spells are still very defensive, they can be used offensively and to great effect.

Several years later, the first Rune Mages came into being. These talented mages can give an edge in battle and also have a fairly powerful magical attack.

Spells:
1) Rune Of Protection
2) Rune Of Guidance
3) Rune Of Motion
4) Rune Of Anger
5) Rune Of Healing
6) Recharge Energies
7) Dispel
8) Ultimate: Rune Of Hatred

(OTHX) Other

Q&A:

Q: Is this everything?
A: Not even close. This is just a preview. There will be MUCH more then this.

Q: How many different hero stats will there be?
A: I am still debating this, but I am fairly sure it will be:
1. Strength
2. Magic
3. Speed

Q: How are you going to find the time to work on this?
A: That is something I also have been pondering. I am currently seeking someone that can render models and design graphics, since I am not proficient in that area.

Q: Can I suggest a question?
A: It wouldn't be a Q&A if you couldn't suggest questions.

Preview still awaiting completion. Will add remaining stuff later.

By DoomsdayLeader

Admin Edit: Excellent idea! I like it. I've tweaked it to my liking. Note that the 'By DoomsdayLeader will actually be in the item description.

I also like how in some spells you can increase the attack power of your allies, or something of that nature. Is that even possible in Starcraft, or are you expecting it to be possible in Starcraft 2?

I actually expect to be forced to scrap much of this due to the limits of the StarCraft II map editor. But hey, who knows.

As for the spells, that was something that I tried hard to accomplish in The Twilight Throne I: make diverse and unique spells, instead of just 'create x unit for y seconds.'
