I have been aware the past 2 weeks or so that there has been much dissatisfaction as to my renewed enforcement of the rules. Although I wish for a perfect community, I have come to realize that this will never happen. I am hence lessening my impact, withdrawing slightly, and relenting to exclusions. I have learned much from this event, and hope that it should never happen again.

I stand corrected.

However, do note that this does not mean you are privy to abuse this relenting. You must still follow the rules closely, but now more leeway will be given to comments and topics.

EDIT: Henceforth, I will end all other discussions of power or status except for the one stated above. There, you are free to openly speak your opinions. I promise not to delete a post or lock that topic unless things turn for the worse, such as a flame war or some such other dispute.
