As the sun sets over the town, night falls, and an eerie silence ensues. The sky turns dark, the stars come out, and shadows fade in the dim moonlight. The town is sleeping, praying that they will live to see the next day. As it happens, one of the townspeople will not live to see the day. StarShip2500 is sitting by the fireplace, in a comfortable armchair. An hour passes, and his eyes begin to droop with sleep. Suddenly, he hears the sound of the door opening, with a loud creeeak, and someone entering. StarShip2500 knows it is the mafia. He has prepared his mind for this. Fearlessly, he walks to the door, and runs right into a man, clad in a dark blue suit. StarShip2500 falters. Then, he draws himself up to his full height, and says: "Why do you do this? Why do you kill?" The mafia grunts. He reaches into his suit, pulls out a pistol, and shoves the barrel against StarShip2500's forehead. "No reason." he says. " 'Bout time you died anyway." Suddenly, StarShip2500's resolve disappears completely. He panicks and runs through his house, eyes darting wildly for an escape route, bullets whizzing past his head. Amazingly, he manages to make it to the back door. He fumbles with the bolt, taking several seconds before finally sliding it back. He flings the door open wide, only to find the mafia is right in front of him. StarShip2500 knows it is over. He falls to his knees, whimpering. The mafia pulls the trigger. Two hours later, in a small house on the edge of the town, a man hears the door opening. He looks up cautiously, but is relieved to see the other mafia entering. He asks: "How did it go?" "Pretty good. Got him, right in the head." "Oh, really now?" "Yeah. Anyway, your turn to go kill." "..Nah. Not enough time." "What? Don't tell me you're chickening out." "Look outside. It's two hours till sunrise. If I get caught, I'm done for." The mafia grunts. He knows very well what the townspeople do to supposed killers. "Very well," he says. "Tomorrow night, then." "Aye, tomorrow." ** DAY 2 START ** Townspeople, do your thing. ------------------------------------------------------ *SUMMARY* StarShip2500(Townsperson) was killed. |

The sun begins to set as BigTimePimpin drags the handcuffed KingOfAlex to the bloodied guillotine. The town is mysteriously absent for the execution process, so BigTimePimpin is forced to handle the heavy guillotine by himself. He slowly pulls up the guillotine's blade, and ties it so it remains put. Both he and KingOfAlex know that one little pull of the rope will spell KingOfAlex's death. BigTimePimpin speaks to his brother, in a low, gutteral tone, noting a small brown tuft of hair on the nearby ground: "I know you're mafia." His brother turns his head slowly, trying to face him, but unable to. After struggling for a few seconds, he gives up and settles down. He says: "Maybe I am, but would you kill your own brother?" "You killed innocent people. You sought to destroy the town." "So what. It's not as if they deserved to live anyway." BigTimePimpin is shocked by the contempt in his brother's voice. Angrily, he declares: "I am reaching for the guillotine rope now. Do you have anything to say for yourself, scum?" KingOfAlex smirks. "Savor your victory while you can; for the other mafia will kill you soon." BigTimePimpin has had enough. He intones a passage while reaching for the guillotine rope, speaking in a low, deep voice. "Your misguided deeds shall grant thee swift penitence, vile inquisitor!" He lets the blade fall. After contemplating what he has just done, he takes KingOfAlex's incapacitated head and affixes it to a spear. Beside it, he lays down the piece of evidence he has found-KingOfAlex's sniper rifle. ** NIGHT 2 START ** ------------------------------------------------------------ *SUMMARY* KingOfAlex(Mafia) was executed. |
